Hitsujiyama Park is on top of a middle terrace created by Arakawa River, and from the top of the Miharashi-no-Oka you can overlook the entire Chichibu City.
This area started to be called Hitsujiyama (literally means “sheep mountain” in Japanese) because it was where sheep were bred prior to the war. In recent years, it has served as a place of recreation and relaxation of citizens that has become famous for the Shibazakura-no-Oka (hill of moss phlox).

Mt. Buko Museum
This is a museum that passes on to the present the history of Bukozan, which is a mountain of worship from long ago and a mountain of limestone mining. (Inside Hitsujiyama Park)
Yamato Art Museum
This is a museum that exhibits the paintings of artists and artworks of potters related to the area, mainly featuring the works of Shiko Munakata. (Inside Hitsujiyama Park)
Chichibu Meisen Museum
This is a facility where you can learn about the history of Chichibu’s traditional fabric and the “Chichibu Meisen” kimono. The facility uses the building for an industrial testing station constructed in 1930.
Seibu-Chichibu Station
This is the main station of Chichibu. Before 1965, the Chichibu Agriculture and Industry Science High School was located here, but the Seibu Chichibu Railway was opened in 1969 and the station was completed.

Train: 20-minute walk from Seibu Railway Seibu-Chichibu Station or Chichibu Railway Ohanabatake Station (to Shibazakura-no-Oka).
